Home additions & specialty projects
Home additions, basement remodels, whole-home renovations, and insurance rebuilds managed end to end. These projects share one thing: they need a patient GC who can coordinate across trades over a long timeline.
Construction Management & Design has run every variation since 1996, from second-story additions to fire and water rebuilds. CCB licensed (CCB #112648, verifiable at oregon.gov/ccb), bonded, and insured.
Four kinds of complex projects we run
Additions, basements, whole-home renovations, and insurance rebuilds share one thing: they need a patient GC who can coordinate across trades over a long timeline.
Add square footage with framing, roof tie-in, electrical, plumbing, and finish. Permitted, planned around the existing house.
Moisture control, framing, egress, electrical, plumbing, and finish. The most cost-effective way to add livable square footage.
Gut rebuilds, layout changes, and top-to-bottom finish work. Coordinated under one project manager.
We coordinate with your adjuster, negotiate supplemental claims, and rebuild to current Oregon code.
For projects that do not fit one room
CM&D has managed every variation: second-story additions, bump-outs, basement finishing, whole-home renovations, and insurance rebuilds after fire or water damage. Because these projects touch framing, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, roofing, and finish work, consistent project management is the difference between a 6-month and a 12-month schedule.
For insurance rebuilds specifically, we also coordinate directly with your adjuster and negotiate supplemental claims when the original scope of loss misses something.
One project manager on site from start to finish so decisions do not get lost between trades. That is what keeps a 6-month project from turning into a 12-month one.

Call (503) 655-2198 or email miles@cmdesigns.net to set up a walkthrough. For additions, basements, and full-home rebuilds, the conversation usually starts with a site visit and a rough scope discussion. For insurance work, bring your adjuster’s scope of loss if you have it.
