CM&D is not a franchise. We are a community-focused residential general contractor based in West Linn, working with families across the Portland metro area.
For nearly 30 years, Miles and the CM&D team have managed residential remodeling and new construction projects of every size, from single-room updates to whole-home renovations. Miles Koessler
Project ManagerMiles runs every CM&D project from intake through the final walkthrough. Homeowners work with him directly across consultation, design, scheduling, and the build, so the same person who scoped your project is the one managing it on site.
Colleen Mihalik
Resident DesignerColleen leads design and development on CM&D projects, translating each homeowner’s goals into plans, elevations, and finish selections. Her work is what makes the design phase feel like a collaboration rather than a checklist.
Our process, start to finish
Every CM&D project follows the same six phases. The phases keep the project predictable for the homeowner and let our team coordinate trades, materials, and inspections without surprises along the way.
Consultation
First, we meet to review your project. At this meeting we assess what stage your project is at and provide recommendations of next steps forward. From the information gathered we will then develop a range of cost estimate and scope of work.
Design & Develop
In Pre-Construction, we create your vision. This includes working with our designer to create plans and elevations, selecting materials and fixtures, and defining your expectations. During this phase we develop a preliminary budget and descriptive scope of work.
Planning For Construction
Based on the finalized architectural, design, fixture and finish plans, we walk the site again with our team of trade partners to finalize our estimate and make sure everything is ready to start.
Schedule & Procure
During procurement, we order materials and finalize the construction schedule with our trade partners. These go hand and hand to ensure a smooth project.
Execute
During the build phase, we work with our team of craftsmen to make your vision a reality. Throughout this phase you can expect regular project updates, direct communication, and thorough documentation as we manage your project.
Enjoy Your Space
As the project concludes, we conduct a final walk-through with the client. During this walk-through we will address any punch list items, provide a warranty packet and final project book. You enjoy your beautiful new space.
